Ilia II: People should be thankful for everything, do not forget God’s grace
People should be thankful for everything, do not forget God’s grace, – Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II said during the Sunday Sermon at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
“The gospel that we read today indicates that a person should always be grateful, should not forget about God’s grace, and should not forget to thank God. When we are experiencing difficulties we always ask God to help us… We often receive help and forget to thank the God for it”, – Catholicos-Patriarch said.
As Ilia II said, on that day, December 23, he was elected as Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, and he is grateful to the believers who helped him to carry the heavy cross entrusted by the Lord.
“I am grateful to the Lord for entrusting to me to carry this heavy cross. The Lord, who gives the cross, gives the power to bear that cross”, – Patriarch said.
