ID Cards will be issued free of charge for persons with disabilities
Georgian Ministry of Justice will issue ID cards for persons with disabilities free of charge. The activity will begin on December 10, 2018 and last till January 10, 2019. Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani made this statement at the briefing held at the Ministry today.
In case of submission of the document confirming the status of persons with disabilities, passport and ID cards will be issued for free for adults and juveniles will receive IDs in case of submission of relevant certificates.
Citizens shall address the public service halls, offices of the State Services Development Agency (SSDA), and get an identification card for free.
As a result of the Justice Minister’s initiative, a number of activities have been carried out with respect to issuance of the electronic ID cards, and more than 2 600 000 citizens received the identification documents, about 1 500 000 for free in 2013-2018.
