Health Minister visits Iashvili Children's Central Hospital 

Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze visited Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital in connection with International Childhood Cancer Day observed on February 15.

The Minister congratulated one of the patients, diagnosed with cancer, on the recovery and became introduced to the medication process of other beneficiaries.

Mikheil Sarjveladze said protecting children’s best interests was among the government’s top priorities. He briefed the patients about free programs that ensure access to high-quality medical services.

The hospital’s administration, physicians and founder of Monk Andria Charity Foundation, Tinatin Chkhvimiani attended the meeting.

All beneficiaries aged under 18 with an oncological diagnosis are fully funded by the state for treatment in leading high-tech medical institutions in Georgia, Spain, Israel and Turkey.

International Childhood Cancer Day is a global collaborative campaign to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to express support for children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors, and their families.
