Head of Governmental Administration – We may step onto second stage of restrictions lifting earlier than 2 weeks or impose restrictions again
Georgia may step onto the second stage of restrictions lifting earlier than 2 weeks or impose restrictions again depending on the epidemiology situation in the country – Natia Mezvrishvili, Head of the Governmental Administration reported.
According to Mezvrishvili, the government would take into consideration both the number of infected persons across Georgia and the tendency of virus spread in separate geographic areas.
Mezrishvili also said that lifting up restriction will also depend on how well the public adheres to the recommendations of Health Ministry including social distancing guidelines and wearing medical facemasks.
Last week, the government presented a 6-stage plan for lifting up restrictions imposed in the country. The interval in between the stages is 2 weeks.
