HCoJ announces competition to select candidate to be appointed by president
The High Council of Justice (HCoJ) announced a competition to select a candidate to be appointed by Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
The President of Georgia established an independent commission in the HCoJ. According to the President’s Administration, the term of office of the non-judge member of the HCoJ appointed by the President of Georgia expires on July 22, 2024.
“The President has discretion right to select and appoint a contender who participates in the competition, the one, who meets the requirements as set by the law,” it said.
The applications will be received by the President’s Administration till July 2. Interviews with the applicants will be held on July 3-10. The President will have appointed a member in the HCoJ no later than July 15, 2024.
