Family members of the activists who have been arrested when supporting Anti-Namakhvani protesters in western Georgia held a protest rally in front of the Adjara Government House in Batumi on Monday.
The United National Movement (UNM) party members also attended the rally.
The rally participants claim the detention of these people is politically motivated.
“If the court makes an illegal decision, we will start a large-scale rally,” said Jemal Chelidze, a father of one of the detainees.
According to the investigation, seven people have been accused of organizing and participating in gang violence.
