Gov't to announce coronavirus-related restrictions tomorrow

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze says the information regarding new restrictions will be known tomorrow.

The Minister notes that the government continues consultations with the business sector and it also has developed two formats of restrictions.

“However, it is also important to take into account the restrictions offered by experts and epidemiologists. By doing so, we do not expect a significant reduction in cases, it will be a gradual process. We will monitor the percentage of decline and after estimating a two-week period, we can introduce a tighter scheme or the other way round. We will try to shift economic activity to a more flexible schedule,” Tikaradze said.
