Gov't: Public already benefits from newly opened Rikoti Pass highway

The public is now benefiting from the newly opened 36 km stretch of the high-speed highway through the Rikoti Pass, which features 77 bridges and 43 tunnels, announced the Georgian government on their Facebook page.

According to their report, the project involves constructing a 52 km long, four-lane expressway with 51 tunnels and 97 bridges.

“Fifty of the 51 tunnels have already been completed, and 89 of the 97 bridges have been constructed. The new road adheres to all modern road safety,” the government stated.
