Gov't, opposition, EU mediator hold joint consultations

A joint meeting between the representatives of the opposition and the government mediated by Christian Danielsson, the special envoy of the European Council President, is underway at the EU Delegation Office in Tbilisi.

Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze, GD party Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, and GD member Shalva Papuashvili represent the ruling party at the meeting.

EU mediator held several consultations with party representatives yesterday and said he would prepare a document for the parties to sign if they agree. Christian Danielsson returned to Tbilisi on Sunday to help the opposition and the government reaching an agreement.
