Gov't decided to nominate 11 senior police officials for Order of Honor after inauguration

“We have decided to nominate 11 senior officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Order of Honor after the inauguration,” stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at today’s press conference.

As the head of government noted, if any official experiences any financial losses due to sanctions, the Georgian state will fully ensure compensation for these losses.

“With regard to our response to sanctions, particularly financial sanctions, if any official incurs financial losses as a result of these measures, the Georgian state will fully compensate for those losses. This response is not merely a reaction to sanctions or an unjust decision; it is primarily a response to the honorable actions taken by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is a matter of dignity and humanity.

We have decided to nominate senior officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Order of Honor after the inauguration, we are talking about 11 officials, these are: Vakhtang Gomelauri – Minister of Internal Affairs, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Shalva Bedoidze – First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexander Darakhvelidze – Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Butkhuzi – Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ioseb Chelidze – also Deputy Minister, Teimuraz Kupatadze – Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vazha Siradze – Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sulkhan Tamazashvili – Director of Tbilisi Police Department, Zviad Kharazishvili – Director of the Special Tasks Department, Miller Lagazauri – Deputy Director of the same department, and Mirza Kezevadze – Deputy Director of the same department. After the inauguration, all 11 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be nominated by us for the Order of Honor,” stated the Prime Minister.
