Gov't Administration responds to Presidential Administration's claim
The administration of the Georgian Government has responded to the Presidential Administration’s recent statement saying that Salome Zourabichvili’s “paramount” visit to Strasbourg was canceled due to the government’s “artificially protracted approval process.”
The Administration underscored that the very claim was “false and untrue.”
“The president received the government’s verbal approval regarding the said visit at the beginning of March, during her U.S. visit. The administrations have been clarifying the technical details.
The Government Administration received the final, clarified letter from the Presidential Administration yesterday, April 12, and sent written approval for Strasbourg visit the next day,” reads the statement.
The Government Administration added that they had also sent written approval to the President over her working visit to the UK.
