Gov't Administration outlines 10-year development strategy, defining goals, action plans, and budgets

“The 10-year strategy will establish clear objectives, detailing what each agency should achieve in a given year. From there, a precise action plan will be developed, and the budget will be allocated accordingly,” stated Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

As Zhorzholiani emphasised, the updated strategy will incorporate revised goals.

“The Prime Minister announced during the recent government session that Georgia will commence work on a new 10-year strategy, covering the period 2026–2035; currently, we have a plan up to 2030 in place. The revised strategy will feature more concise and well-defined goals, outlining what each sector and agency needs to accomplish by specific years.

Following this, tailored action plans will be drafted, and budgets will be planned based on this strategic framework. It is essential for both the government and the public to understand the future trajectory of each sector and infrastructure; how it will develop over the coming years, in what condition, and what results we can expect in areas such as the economy, agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare, and defence,” Levan Zhorzholiani explained.
