Government Administration Head: PM Kobakhidze to meet Chinese Premier; officials to sign key memoranda
“Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will hold a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Premier,” Levan Zhorzholiani, head of the Government Administration, told journalists in Shanghai, where he is accompanying the Prime Minister on a working visit.
Zhorzholiani added that government officials will have the opportunity to sign memoranda on several key issues.
“Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is in China at the invitation of Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. Today, he will meet with his Chinese counterpart for bilateral discussions.
Additionally, members of the Georgian government, including the Ministers of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, as well as Economy and Sustainable Development, will have the opportunity to sign memoranda with their Chinese counterparts on vital topics such as aviation, tourism, culture, artificial intelligence, environmental protection, ecology, and agriculture.
Furthermore, the Georgian delegation is participating as an honoured guest in the China International Import Expo, where around 40 Georgian companies are represented.
This visit holds great significance for bilateral relations. Georgia and China share a strategic partnership, and through this visit, we aim to strengthen further and celebrate that relationship,” Zhorzholiani stated.
