Google – Movement of Georgian citizens reduced by 67%

Google published the information about movement of Georgian citizens based on a research carried out based on the data collected from cell phones in the period from February 16 to March 29.

According to the research, the movement of Georgian citizens to shops, cinema halls, restaurants, cafes, museums, libraries and other places is reduced by 67%. Visits to groceries, agriculture markets and pharmacies are also reduced by 39%.

The number of people who used public transport and railway is reduced by 53%. The rate of movement to job places is decreased by 38%.

Google carried out the research in 131 countries. The information is for the healthcare sector to better analyze how citizens follow the set restrictions on social distancing.
