Givi Mikanadze meets leadership of China's International Youth Exchange Centre
Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, has paid a visit to the International Youth Exchange Centre of the People’s Republic of China, where he met with the Centre’s leadership and toured its facilities.
The Minister was briefed on the Centre’s activities and current programmes by Liu Aiping, Secretary of the Centre’s Party Committee. The two sides discussed cooperation on youth affairs, including joint projects and potential summer camps for students to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Minister Mikanadze emphasised that enhancing international cooperation among young people is of particular importance. He noted that such exchanges actively drive the professional growth of young people and foster intercultural dialogue by sharing knowledge, experience, and best practice.
For his part, Liu Aiping spoke about the significance of youth exchange programmes and expressed China’s readiness to deepen its partnership with Georgia.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides identified priority areas for future cooperation and agreed to establish a working group to take forward discussions on specific matters.
The Minister was accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Levan Ghirsiashvili; Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of China, Paata Kalandadze; and representatives of both the Ministry and the Embassy.
