Girchi calls opposition's alternative process 'imitation'

Opposition Girchi party member Aleksandre Rakviashvili believes Strategy Aghmashenebeli’s “super-inclusive” process over the European Commission’s 12 recommendations is “an imitation.”

He claims they “look inadequate” in the eyes of Europeans as “we cannot sit at the same table and talk.”

“I don’t understand why Giorgi Vashadze and other opposition parties want to act like this. Since there are various stances in the United National Movement, I hope they will take the right position and look adequate. The Europeans tell us directly, unambiguously, to work together,” Rakviashvili asserted.

Strategy Aghmashenebeli party today has kicked off working meetings on the EC’s 12 recommendations for Georgia, engaging opposition parties, faction representatives, independent MPs, NGOs, and experts.
