Girchi considers it unserious to think of gov't overthrow ahead of elections

“Thinking about overturning the current regime is unserious until the elections are won or proved rigged,” said Aleksandre Rakviashvili, a member of the Girchi party.

Rakviashvili echoed the statement of Girchi-More Freedom party leader Zurab Japaridze, saying, “One way to remove the Georgian Dream from power is through early elections. Second is winning in regular elections, and, if they still do not recognize the defeat, you have to kick them out from the street. It is the most realistic scenario.”

The Girchi member said that early elections will hardly be held while plotting the current government’s overthrow by a revolution ahead of elections mean that certain opposition parties have “no hope that they will secure good results.”
