Giorgi Margvelashvili: Justice should not be in hands of those, who practiced political persecution
“Justice should not be in hands of those, who practiced persecution on political ground during the rule of the former authorities,” President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili stated during the briefing.
President talked about the legislative initiative prepared by the parliamentary majority on so-called “Girgvliani Corrections.”
President said he welcomed any legislative amendments that aimed at eradication of system crime. He said that there had to be guarantees, which would protect people from tragedies in the future.
Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of Georgian Dream Faction said that the parliamentary majority was working on so-called “Girgvliani Corrections” project.
