Giorgi Margvelashvili – We believe that we deserve membership of NATO and EU

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili took part in discussions on topic of resumption of Euro-Atlantic integration process held on the sidelines of forum in Brussels, Belgium.

Georgian president underlined that Georgia was involved in the process after split of the Soviet Union. However, he said that the Georgian people made their European choice much earlier.

“We believe that we deserve membership of NATO and EU,” Margvelashvili stated and claimed that it was essential to speed up Euro-Atlantic processes with respect to Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova taking into consideration the Russian aggressive policy and harmful propaganda.

“Russia represents a controlling force in the neighborhood and it reacts with military weapons on any opportunity,” President claimed.
