The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili congratulated the personnel of Georgian Armed Forces, all soldiers and commanders on the day of Georgian Armed Forces. The 30th of April is Georgian Armed Forces Day.

At the Vaziani military base Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked each representative of the Georgian Armed Forces, who fully protects country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“27 years ago, independent Georgia has recruited its first soldiers to the armed forces. Since this day the Georgian army has continued the tradition, which was founded in 1918, when the first independent Georgian Republic was formed. It was a brief, however heroic history of the Georgian army, which we are proud of today. Just as 100 years ago, Georgian soldiers underwent number of battles for the unity of the country. The devotion  and self-sacrifice always turns our soldiers to heroes. I would like to pay tribute to the memory of the soldiers, who died for the integrity of Georgia”, – Kvirikashvili said.

According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Georgian government does its best to create dignified conditions for the military.

“Taking care of our devoted children is the main responsibility of the state. Congratulations to all of you on this day. First of all, I wish every soldier of Georgia peace; I’m convinced that our Georgia will be united, strong and developed,”- said the Prime Minister.
