I am convinced that the Georgian Dream delegates will unanimously elect Bidzina Ivanishvili as the new chair of the party, – Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the briefing held at the Georgian Dream party office today.

According to Kvirikashvili important novelties are planned in the party.

“Naturally, there is high public interest in the processes ongoing in the ruling team. We, as the ruling team, feel responsibility toward the country and citizens. We believe that it is necessary to strength party amid the new challenges. The democratic processes ongoing within our party are very important for us; we have clear common visions, both in the domestic and foreign directions. It is important to maintain unity on fundamental state issues,” -Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

According to Kvirikashvili, the political council of the party will hold a meeting in the nearest future, after which congress will be held.

“I am convinced that both the political council and delegates from all Georgia will unanimously elect Bidzina Ivanishvili as a new chairman. Therefore, the political board will also be renewed. I’m sure this decision will positively affect our country’s political life, it will be a new impulse for our team and personally for me, as the Prime Minister of this country,” – Kvirikashvili said.
