Former Prime Minister of Georgia, leader of the Gakharia – For Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, became a Fellow at the Hertie School in Berlin.

A note on the Hertie School webpage reads: “Currently, Mr Gakharia is a Fellow at the Hertie School. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the Hertie School’s Jacques Delors Centre, where his research focuses on the topic of Georgia’s EU integration through the lens of European security. The aim of the study is to critically assess the security implications of Georgia’s potential EU membership, taking into account historical, political, socio-economic, and security-related aspects of EU–Georgia relations. The study deploys practical tools such as in-depth interviews with key decision-makers in the European Commission and EU member states,” reads the note of the Hertie School.
