German Health Minister - Locking borders won't stop COVID-19

“Locking Germany’s borders to prevent the spread of COVID-19 would not work,” Health Minister Jens Spahn said on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

Spahn said Germany’s current approach aims to slow the virus’s spread in the country.

“The virus is in Germany, it is in Europe.  We have to get used to it. It will still spread even if you seal off all the borders. Sooner or later you have to let people in or out and then it starts spreading again,” Health Minister stressed.
