German Ambassador optimistic about EU decision, stresses importance of upcoming report

German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, emphasized the importance of the upcoming report from the European Commission, which will play a crucial role in the decision-making process by the heads of the EU member states in December.

“I remain optimistic. The report will be the basis for the decision of the 27 heads of the governments of EU member states. It will give them orientation, but these 27 heads of state governments will sit together in Brussels in December and decide unanimously. Everyone has to say ‘yes’,” Ambassador Fischer stated.
