GeoStat: Inflation rate at 5.3 percent in October based on EU Methodology
The Georgian National Statistics Service (GeoStat) published the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices in Georgia for 2025.
According to GeoStat, the inflation rate in October based on EU methodology stands at 5.3%, 0.1 higher than the 5.2-percent inflation calculated using the national method.
As for individual components, according to the EU HICP methodology:
Food and Non-alhocolic Beverages – 10.7%, Alcohollic Beverages and Tobacco – 5.6%, Clothing and Footwear – 0.3%, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels – 0.5%, Furniture, Hosehold Equipment, Routine Household Maintenance – 2.3%, Health – 9.1%, Transport – 0.8%, Communications – 2.7%, Recreation and Culture – 0.7%, Education – 2.0%, Hotels, Cafes and Restaurants – 6.5%, Miscellaneous Goods and Services – 6.5%.
