Geostat: Georgia’s foreign trade in goods drops 6.9% in January–February

According to the National Statistics Service, in January–February 2026, Georgia’s foreign trade in goods (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to $3,512.4 million, a 6.9% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Exports totaled $1,026.7 million, marking a 22.9% increase, while imports reached $2,485.7 million, a 15.4% decrease.

Georgia’s negative trade balance in the first two months of 2026 amounted to $1,459.0 million, representing 41.5% of the total foreign trade turnover.

Additionally, the ten largest trading partners accounted for 66.9% of Georgia’s total foreign trade. The country’s largest partners were Turkey with $499.5 million, China with $457.8 million, and Russia with $418.3 million.
