GeoStat: Domestic exports rise by 3.1 per cent in January–August 2025

According to the National Statistics Service (GeoStat), the total value of goods exported from Georgia (excluding undeclared exports) from January to August 2025 reached USD 4,448.2 million, representing a 6.7% increase compared to the same period last year.

Geostat reports that domestic exports, excluding re-exports, account for 45.3 per cent of Georgia’s total exports. This figure has risen by 3.1 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year, amounting to USD 2,014.0 million.

The GeoStat further states that the ten largest trading partners accounted for 71.1 per cent of Georgia’s total domestic exports in January–August 2025. The leading export destinations are Russia, with USD 450.1 million; Turkiye, with USD 185.6 million; and China, with USD 177.9 million.

Additionally, GeoStat highlights that among Georgia’s top ten export items during this period, precious metal ores and concentrates led with USD 239.1 million, making up 11.9 per cent of total domestic exports. Natural grape wines came in second with USD 164.9 million, followed by alcoholic beverages in third place with USD 142.1 million.
