Georgia's PM to attend World Urban Summit in Baku in partnership with UN-Habitat

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, will participate in the World Urban Summit held in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, organised in partnership with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

The Head of Georgia’s government is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum. He is also set to meet with Azerbaijan’s President, Ilham Aliyev.

During the summit, global leaders will explore strategies to tackle the worldwide housing crisis intensified by climate change and conflicts, recognising these issues as vital for promoting sustainable and inclusive urban development.

The summit is attended by representatives from over 180 countries, including heads of state, prominent business leaders, urban planners, and property developers.

Accompanying the Prime Minister to Baku is a delegation comprising Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
