Georgia’s PM says strategic partnership with Uzbekistan elevates relations, boosts regional trade, and fosters broader economic integration

“Georgia deeply values its partnership with Uzbekistan, a nation we consider not only a reliable and vital ally but also a true friend. Our bilateral relationship has grown steadily over the years, and this Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership will elevate our ties to a qualitatively new level,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced during expanded-format negotiations with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Prime Minister thanked the Uzbek delegation for their steadfast support for Georgia, noting that the Strategic Partnership Agreement paves the way for fresh opportunities across the political, economic, investment, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

“I would like to thank you for your unwavering support for Georgia. The signing of this Strategic Partnership Agreement is a direct result of your personal commitment. This Joint Declaration bears testament to the enduring friendship between our nations and establishes a solid foundation for the sustainable development of our bilateral relations.

Strengthening our cooperation will further drive regional trade volumes, fortify vital transport corridors, and foster broader economic integration.
I also extend my sincere gratitude for your consistent support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The progress and achievements Uzbekistan has made under your leadership are truly impressive. You have built robust institutions, an effective state system, and a clear vision for your country’s future development. You are an exemplary leader, and we are confident that under your guidance, the bilateral cooperation and friendship between our two countries will grow ever stronger,” the Head of the Georgian Government remarked.
