Georgia's PM: Expanding exports to China is crucial for developing our trade relations

“It is vital for us to increase and broaden our exports to China and, more generally, to strengthen our trade relations further. In this context, participation in this exhibition holds great significance for us,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists after visiting the Georgian pavilions at the 8th China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

The Head of Government noted that there is a growing interest among Chinese companies in importing more Georgian products.

“Today, we visited the Georgian pavilions at the International Import Expo, where 29 Georgian products are showcased. It is crucial for us to enhance and expand our exports to China and to continue developing our trade relations. We also spoke with Georgian entrepreneurs present at the exhibition, and they informed us of increasing interest from Chinese companies in importing more Georgian goods. This will contribute significantly to the development of our country’s economy, and we remain committed to actively pursuing this path in the future,” he stated.
