Georgia’s foreign trade goods turnover grows by 8.8% in January–August 2025
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), Georgia’s foreign trade in goods (excluding undeclared transactions) reached USD 16,252.0 million between January and August 2025, an increase of 8.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.
GeoStat reports that exports amounted to USD 4,448.0 million, up 6.7 per cent, while imports rose to USD 11,804.0 million, reflecting a growth of 9.7 per cent.
The trade deficit for the period stood at USD 7,356.0 million, accounting for 45.3 per cent of the total foreign trade turnover.
