“The President of Georgia attended an official reception at the invitation of President Donald Trump. The event was organised on behalf of the U.S. President and First Lady. Notably, during the course of the reception, the President of Georgia engaged in a ceremonial meeting and conversation with Donald Trump,” stated Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States.

According to the Ambassador, Mikheil Kavelashvili held discussions with various world leaders.

“I would like to emphasise that, as part of this official reception, the President of Georgia met with senior representatives of the U.S. government. The exchanges were friendly and carried positive messages.

During the event, the U.S. President addressed the audience, which included leaders from many countries around the world. There was also interaction and dialogue with these international leaders,” added the Ambassador.

Mikheil Kavelashvili departed for New York on September 21.
