Georgian wine showcased at 150 international events across 13 countries
Georgian wine has been presented at nearly 150 events across 13 countries worldwide in the first six months of 2025, with financial and organizational support from the National Wine Agency.
The promotion aimed at increasing Georgian wine’s export potential and market diversification included participation in 18 exhibitions/festivals and 137 tastings and seminars across Japan, the United States, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Great Britain, China, Finland, Armenia, Poland, and Belgium.
Eight wine tours were organized in Georgia for international wine professionals, allowing wine masters, experts, sommeliers, and commercial sector representatives from Germany, Japan, China, Great Britain, the United States, and other countries to taste Georgian wines on location.
Domestic market activities included wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals held throughout Georgia under the state programme for promoting Georgian wine products locally. These events serve to popularize Georgian wine, boost wine tourism potential, and develop wine consumption culture. This year, 15 exhibitions/festivals and 4 tastings/competitions were held in Georgia.
The activities are implemented under the “State Programme for Georgian Wine Popularization,” which has a budget of 17.4 million lari this year – an increase of 1.4 million lari compared to last year’s equivalent budget.
