Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili meets Armenian counterpart Vahagn Khachaturyan

Georgia’s President Mikheil Kavelashvili is on an official visit to the Republic of Armenia. During his time in Yerevan, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan welcomed him at the Presidential Palace.

According to the Georgian President’s administration, the two leaders engaged in a productive one-on-one meeting, discussing prospects for strengthening the enduring friendship and partnership between Georgia and Armenia. The leaders also explored avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

President Kavelashvili expressed his gratitude to President Khachaturyan for Armenia’s support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. They reviewed current political developments in both countries and emphasized the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability.

Mikheil Kavelashvili pointed to the recent trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers from Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan held in Tbilisi as a clear indicator of Georgia’s commitment to promoting dialogue, peace, and stability in the South Caucasus. He conveyed hope that collaborative efforts among the three nations would continue.
