The OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, and Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Monday reviewed current regional developments and the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.
The two discussed the current conflict in Ukraine as a threat to regional and European security and emphasized the significance of maintaining peace in the Caucasus region, according to the President’s press office.
The President thanked the OSCE for its fruitful cooperation and assistance in advancing crucial reforms and strengthening democracy, “which are so relevant for Georgia’s EU integration process, particularly when the country is awaiting the EU candidate status.”
The OSCE Chairman-in-Office expressed readiness to further strengthen the support for the country’s institutional reforms, the press statement reads.
