Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Amir Ohana, Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel.
In the meeting at the Administration of the Government, the parties discussed the key directions of the cooperation between the two countries across a variety of areas. In this context, they underlined Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s successful visit to the State of Israel.
As the Prime Minister pointed out, the Government of Georgia attaches great importance to developing friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation with the State of Israel.
Irakli Garibashvili noted that he welcomes the bolstering of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the State of Israel and Georgia.
One of the topics encompassed the economic cooperation between the countries, one that is characterized by a growing dynamic. The parties expressed commitment to deepening the productive cooperation in this direction. According to the Prime Minister, the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and the State of Israel is poised to open up new opportunities for both countries.
