Georgian PM congratulates Jewish "brothers" in Georgia on Jewish New Year
Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Sunday “wholeheartedly” congratulated Jewish “brothers” in Georgia and those who have returned to their “historical homeland” of Israel, as well as Jewish people “around the world” on their New Year, Rosh HaShanah.
In his letter, the PM said, “the centuries-old friendship between Georgians and Jews is a unique historical phenomenon that both our nations are proud of.”
“The daily work of the Jewish community toward the progress of our common homeland further strengthens the brotherhood between our states and people.
Consequently, your joy is the joy of each of our fellow citizens. I join your festive mood and wish peace, health, and happiness to you and your families,” the PM stated.
