Georgian parliamentary delegation participates in NATO PA Annual Session
Georgian parliamentary delegation, headed by the Defense and Security Committee Chair Irakli Beraia, participates in the annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 7-9.
Global security issues in the Euro-Atlantic space, the Russia-Ukraine war and its consequences, open-door policy, defence and deterrence policies, military technologies, naval infrastructure, national and collective resilience strengthening and other issues are on the agenda for discussions.
“The Georgian delegation will inform the partners about the challenges facing our country and the grave consequences of the Russian occupation.
Our main task is to demonstrate to the NATO allies the urgent need for Georgia’s integration into NATO, the need to speed up the political decision in this direction, and the importance of further consolidation of support in the capitals of member states for this purpose.
Georgia meets all the criteria for NATO membership. It deserves to join the alliance and is ready for accession,” Irakli Beraia stated.
