Georgian Parliament Speaker meets his Serbian counterpart
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, has met with the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.
According to the press service of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili highlighted the significance of the first Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of EU Candidate Countries currently taking place in Belgrade. The meeting underscored the need for greater experience-sharing and mutual support among EU candidate nations.
The two sides also discussed the growing relations between Georgia and Serbia, highlighting the recent fruitful presidential visits.
Shalva Papuashvili thanked the Serbian side for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to Serbia’s territorial integrity.
Additionally, they discussed opportunities to deepen parliamentary cooperation, including through friendship groups and sector-specific committees.
