Georgian Justice Minister meets Slovak State Secretary for Justice during Strasbourg visit
Georgia’s Minister of Justice, Paata Salia, met with Milan Hodás, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, in Strasbourg. Salia expressed gratitude for Slovakia’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Salia outlined Georgia’s priorities in human rights, the penitentiary system, service development, and digital governance. The discussions also encompassed the integration of AI into the justice system and the protection of human rights amidst technological progress.
“The ministers discussed cooperation with the European Union on justice, freedom, and security. They also committed to deepening bilateral ties and joint initiatives, including prisoner rehabilitation and penitentiary management,” the Ministry stated.
Salia invited Slovakia to the UN Public Services Forum in Tbilisi, scheduled for June 2026. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Beka Dzamashvili and Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Khatia Tsilosani.
