Georgian Interior Minister meets with Head of Armenia’s National Security Service

During his official visit to the Republic of Armenia, Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, visited the National Security Service of Armenia for a high-level meeting with its Director, Andranik Simonyan.

The meeting was attended by senior members of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs delegation, including First Deputy Minister Roni Meskhi and the Director of the Patrol Police Department, Levan Maisuradze.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia reported that during the talks, both sides reviewed ongoing regional developments and contemporary security challenges. The parties placed particular emphasis on existing bilateral cooperation in border security and the strategic development of coordination mechanisms to combat cross-border crime.

The Georgian Minister underscored the vital importance of maintaining close ties between the two agencies and reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to strengthen future relations in all areas of mutual interest.
