Georgian Interior Minister meets Azerbaijani counterpart

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Gela Geladze, along with a delegation, paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Interior Ministry reported.

During the visit, Minister Geladze met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Vilayat Eyvazov.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the two sides discussed the existing partnership in law enforcement and explored opportunities to deepen cooperation. The discussions also covered regional security in the South Caucasus, the fight against organized crime, enhanced collaboration between law enforcement agencies, and the strengthening of the police attaché institution.

Minister Geladze thanked Minister Eyvazov for the productive cooperation and extended an official invitation to visit Georgia. As part of the visit, the Georgian delegation also paid tribute to the memory of Azerbaijan’s revered national leader, Heydar Aliyev, and his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva.
