Georgian Health Minister attends PIVI regional meeting opening
Georgian Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze attended the opening of the regional meeting of the global vaccination programs (PIVI).
The event is held with U.S. support and aims to strengthen vaccination programs, improve preparedness for future health threats, and build stronger, more resilient communities.
Mikheil Sarkveladze emphasized the significance of active cooperation both for Georgian health system strengthening and partnership among countries for international vaccine initiatives.
Alan Purcell, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, addressed the meeting participants.
The three-day meeting comprises panel discussions on Flu and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). Public health experts will share experiences on the prevention and management of viral diseases.
