Georgian government to prioritize green economy development

Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvli participated in the UN online conference Setting Global Targets for Local Business-Georgia.

Minister said that the development of the green economy was one of the main priorities for the Georgian government. Georgia actively worked to reduce nationally defined greenhouse gases to ease climate changes, he said.

“The government’s cooperation with the private sector and partner states is decisive in that direction,” Levan Davitashvili claimed in his speech.

The Minister introduced the conference participants to the main aspects of the 2030 Climate Change Strategy.
