Georgian FM: US urges all political actors in Georgia, to continue processes in political context, to remain within legal framework

“The United States is our strategic partner that calls on everyone, all political actors in Georgia, to continue processes in a political context, to remain within the legal framework,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani.

Georgian FM said that the meeting with Mike Pompeo did not focus on the country’s internal political processes.

“There was no direct involvement from them. This is our internal political process. Of course, America can not interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs, they do not want to do so. They want the situation in Georgia to be stable, as only development can give the country the opportunity to meet the challenges that exist,” Zalkaliani said.
