Georgian FM – Georgia is strongly supported by the U.S. administration
“The high-level visits to Washington will be a good opportunity for congressmen to obtain accurate information on current developments in Georgia,” Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani commented on a letter sent by four U.S. congressmen to the Georgian Prime Minister.
The U.S. congressman Adam Kinzinger tweeted that four U.S. congressmen sent a letter to the Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
“Today, @RepKinzinger @GerryConnolly @RepEliotEngel & @RepMcCaul sent a letter to the Georgian PM with grave concerns over political targeting & a declining economic trend that spells trouble for Georgia’s path towards democratic reform & Western integration.” – @Maura_Gillespie

David Zalkaliani says he has not seen the letter. However, “any kind of feedback from the strategic partner is important for the Georgian government.”
