Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani today held a phone call with his Czech colleague Jan Lipavský over Ukraine and the security environment complicated by the ongoing war there, according to the readout of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
It said the parties shared information on the political and humanitarian assistance provided for Ukraine, as well as, reaffirmed their strong support for the country, battling Russia’s invasion.
“Particular attention was paid to the situation in the occupied regions. In this context, the Czech side said to be well aware of the challenges Georgia is facing and expressed its support for our country.
Georgian Foreign Minister also spoke about the country’s recent application for European Union membership and stressed that Georgia expects support from partners in this regard,” the readout said.
