Georgian Culture Day celebrated in Basel, Switzerland

Georgian Culture Day was held in Basel, Switzerland, organised by the Embassy of Georgia with the support of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture.

The Ambassador of Georgia, Shota Getsadze, and the Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) First Channel, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, addressed the invited guests.

As part of the event, Georgia’s Eurovision 2025 representative, Mariam Shengelia, performed in the Eurovision host city. It was also officially announced that Georgia will host Junior Eurovision 2025.

Following vocal performances by Mariam Shengelia and Andria Putkaradze, the ensemble Erisioni entertained the audience. Guests then enjoyed Georgian wine and cuisine.

The event was attended by international and local media representatives, officials from the European Broadcasting Union, heads of national delegations, and members of the Georgian community in Basel.
