Georgian chess master Zurab Sturua has won the World Senior Chess Championship for the fourth time.

Sturua won the over-50 section of the World Senior Championship three times in 2015, 2016, and 2019.

Georgian chess master Nona Gafrindashvili won the silver medal at the World Championship among senior female chess players.
