Georgian, Armenian Presidents hold extended-format meeting

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan held a meeting in an extended format.

The two presidents reviewed the political, economic, cultural-educational friendly relationship and prospects for partnership deepening.

The meeting highlighted the significance to further develop trade-economic relations with Armenia, expressing readiness to further deepen bilateral and regional cooperation and the integration process in the political, economic and cultural spheres.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan, Head of the Presidential Office of Armenia Khachatur Poghosyan, and a member of the Armenian National Assembly Shirak Torosyan attended the meeting on behalf of Armenia.

The attendees from the Georgian side were First Speaker and Head of Georgia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Giorgi Volski, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Zurabashvili, Head of Georgian Presidential Administration Ketevan Kvinikadze and Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze.
